The Andy Vargas Foundation’s mission is to inspire, educate and mentor underserved youth who strive for a career in the music industry. The Andy Vargas Foundation achieves its mission by providing youth access to musical instruments and music education classes; music writing and publishing courses; and financial support to continue a higher education in the field of music and arts.

We utilize mentors to provide a positive experience that will help instill perseverance into each student and bring appreciation for the arts.
The Andy Vargas Foundation’s mission is to inspire, educate and mentor underserved youth who strive for a career in the music industry. The AVF achieves its mission by providing youth access to musical instruments and music education classes; music writing and publishing courses; and financial support to continue a higher education in the field of music and arts.
One of the primary goals of the AVF is to collaborate with national and international industry brands; associations, local music programs and organizations, and top musicians and industry professionals to mentor and help develop cutting-edge music education programs for our students. The AVF offers free program opportunities to youth and young adults ages 8 years to 22 years with music programs and opportunities that may one day lead to a career in the music industry.
Program Goals
- Provide Musical Instruments (guitars violins, horns) to underserved youth who cannot afford one for the music classes
- Provide access to a Mariachi Academy and other music classes for underserved youth
- Provide access to a Mariachi Academy and other music classes for underserved youth
- Provide Music composition, producing and Publishing courses for underserved youth
- Provide college scholarships to underserved youth interested in continuing studies in the field of music and arts
- Provide mentorship to students and other industry opportunities for continued education
- Serve as an advocate to change policy to ensure that music education is supported in communities everywhere, and that all children have the opportunity to learn and grow with music regardless of socioeconomic status. The AVF will play an active role in joining or leading coalitions in influencing policy makers at a local or state level to support music programs in schools and in our community
